We also have two large oak trees on either end of the pool and for some reason we have had a HUGE acorn crop her in Texas this year...I would guess at least 500 acorns a day are falling in and around the pool. We have the Pentair Ledgend (Similar to the Polaris) and it has been great in keeping up with the leaves and the acorns. Of course I have to empty the bag about 2 times a day but so far the only place i have to get the net out for is the steps. I would highly reccomend a cleaner.

Thanks, I'll add it to the Xmas list. The pool is plumbed for one, so it should be an easy add.

I have a Pentair Legend and it works very well picking up leaves and everything else. It even climbs the walls and sweeps my bench-step at the shallow end. However, it repeatedly vacuumed up the little "scrubbing collar" from the end of its own tail until that was ruined. Also, after about a year I had to replace the bag under warranty because the velcro deteriorated and the sweeper was just blowing everything out of the top of the bag. Very powerful.
