    Default free chlorine?

Pool is sparkling clear. Thanks to all!

    ph 7.5
FC 8 down from initial shock of 15 on 12/15
    CC 0
    TA 110
    CH 300 for heater
    CYA 65
    Water temps in low 50's

Salt = 0 SWG not fired up

Best guess chart says FC to 5-10
Pool Pilot says FC to 1-3

What should I shoot for on FC? I'm thinking somewhere in the 3-6 range but would value your opinion.

I would think around 5 would be sufficient--the best guess table calls for higher than that with your CYA, but the water temps being 50s and below will retard a lot of the growth in your pool.
