Pool repair in New orleans area

I called them they said it would be about a month before the could come out and give me a quote. The wall looks like it is buckling in but is still attached to the frame but the hole is full of water so i can't tell anything else. I guess i'll just put the price of a new pool on the property inspection response. once we move in i'll pump the hole out and see what i have. pool isn't but 2-3 years old.

Hi Jimmy - thought I'd give you some heads up on pools and houses for sale...
Pools generally don't add to the value of a home, more than likely they have a negative effect. In most cases, it's the IG kind we're talking about here since the demolition of these is costly and that's teh way most look at it when buying a home with one installed.
AG pools on the other hand are like a 12x12 shed, you don't normally need a building permit because it's NOT a permanent structure - meaning no foundation is required. Now, many cities require you to take out a permit for an AG pool so they can follow up and make sure you put up a fence (the fence is the permanent structure here since most are installed deeper than the frost line - in most cases unless the pool has a built in fence.)
This said, an AG pool normally doesn't add to or remove from the value of the house since it's removal and disposal (should you chose to do so) is very quick and relatively painless - maybe a couple hundred bucks if you have to pay someone to do it. If this pool is in a total state of disrepair, you can maybe knock a few hundred off the house price to fill the hole it will leave behind, but that's about it, you certainly wouldn't be able to hold back a few thousand to replace it though.

What you said might have been the case a year or two ago, but it is a buyers market pretty much wherever you live. Now I do need to start my own pool business b/c neither me nor the seller can get anyone to come out and fix the pool. I did get $2500 at closing to fix the pool if only I could find someone to do it.
