    Default air leak question

I have a 12,500 gallon IG vinyl-lined pool, about 6 years old now. I have a small amount of persistent air bubbles coming from the shallow return (near the stairs and closest to the pump). Is this something to worry about? It started late last year and hasn't progressed this year (or gone away like I hoped it would). Thanks.

I had this problem... It's a leak on the non-pressure side (plumbing before the pump). Check the strainer on the pump (cover on tight? Rubber gasket in good shape?). New teflon tape on all the fittings and tighten again. If that doesn't do it spray foam shaving cream onto the valves and fittings and look for areas collapsing. You need to track down the leak and fix it.

Thanks for the info. The pump strainer gasket looks to be showing its age, so I'll start there. I don't see any gaskets or cover/gasket combinations for sale at Leslie's online. Can you recommend another site I might try?
