    Default Opening test results

After opening to a very green pool. Added about 10 gals 12.5 % liquid pool clear from FF. I have a fairly clear pool. Some brown stuff all over bottom. Looks like sand/algae, disappears when you brush it. I still need to vacuum it. Tried vacuuming to waste but pump suction was not the greatest. After vacuuming the whole pool I realized that the pump was not working the best and not much was going to the grass.

Here are my first test results today. How do they look.

    FC- 5.5
    CC- 0
    TC- 5+
    PH-7.5
    ALK-170
    CAL-210
CYA- <20 (ran out of tube)
    Temp- 74 deg

I have been using pucks to get started and adding 10% bleach for shock.
Added 3 gallons late last night.

    ADVICE Appreciated.

Looks pretty good so far...I wouldn't let your TA get any higher than that. Also, the pucks alone are not going to raise your CYA fast enough to keep chlorine in your pool. I suggest that you buy some CYA and add enough to shoot for around 15-20 ppm in your pool. Give it a week or so to dissolve, and then use pucks to raise it to where you want it.
