Sumo1, I have the PoolDevil and love it. It is quite similar to the poolskim, but the thing creating the vortex is shaped differently. Priced a little bit lower. I only really get it out in the fall (about this time of year)...I planted some large hardy pampas grass next to the pool, and it starts to seed about now. Hence, very tiny grass seed blows into the pool, too small to be picked up with even a fine net. So the skimmer sock works just great. I do put my solar cover over it and it doesn't seem to hurt it, but the action is greatly diminished without freely flowing water to skim.
