Hi everyone! Back when I was building our pool - I read through all the posts I could find and found this site and it's contributors to be incredibly helpful!

I took the advice of some posters and used slate around the waterline and on the waterfall wall. We also went with a light colored Diamondbrite.

So, one year later, the slate tiles are peeling into the pool daily. The bottom of our pool looks like it has leaves in it (it's caged). My husband has drained, scraped, and seeled but that hasn't worked.

Does anyone have a solution? The chemical guys thought maybe our calcium was low and leaching from the tiles so we added calcium.

Help! I know others have used slate and wonder if this is a common problem.
