    Question Side Discharge pump

I just purchased a new pump for my AG pool. My pump that I have not is a top discharge and this one is a side discharge. The reason I bought this is because I got it for about $150 on eBay, brand new in the box, 2 HP two-speed Waterway/A.O. Smith pump. I only plan on using it on low and it will be enough for my 24-foot pool. My question is, my husband seems to think he can unscrew something and change it to a top discharge so he won't have to rig the plumbing that we already have (flexible pipes). I don't want him messing with my bargain of a pump. Any thoughts? Thanks, Penny

Most above ground pumps can be switched between side and top discharge but the way that they need to be changed varies by brand and model. You can possibly find the manual for your Waterway pump here on the Waterway website. It should tell you what you need to know.
