Oh yes...this pool is way to large for me to handle. Some days I don't know what we were thinking when we bought this house. We love having a pool....when we can swim in it of course!

    Brother, welcome to the forum!
    Like you I have a large "L" shaped 40 kilo-gallon pool!
My advice - don't fret! Once you get control, you can handle it - trust me!
Getting control is easy. Thanks to this forum and a little courage, anyone can do it. I' know what I'm talking about! I have done it myself.
I've battled mustard algae attacks and turned thick pea soup into crystal clear swimming enjoyment!
I'm no expert - by far - but I have read many, many threads on this forum and everything you need is right here!
    Here's my newbie advice:
First step: Get the pool re-filled. you may have to get a pool contractor's help if the sides are pulling away too much.
Second step (while to pool is filling) get a decent comprehensive test kit.
Third: Read this forum. Learn how to use the BBB method and how to shock.
Fourth: Run the whole gambit of tests & write your numbers down.
Fifth: Begin to adjust your numbers and don't get in a hurry!
Sixth: Read the forum. If you don't find the answer here, Ask questions!! Wait a few hours and the answer will be here!

You can do it - I did!
40'x28' I/G L-shaped, vinyl liner pool, with an estimated 40,000 gallons of water.
Been using BBB for over a year! Excellent results!
