    Default lowe chlorine after shock

How do you lower chlorine after shocking? My CYA is 70 so I got my shock levels up to about 35PPM. I haven't added any chlorine or ran my SWG for a couple of days and my FC is still way over 10. I used some of jacks after shock today, but I only think it's going to drop my chlorine by 2 or 3 PPM. Is there a cheaper alternative?

I wouldn't worry about it - you can swim with it over 10ppms without any fading of suits in a pool with cya of 70. Your goal chlorine levels with 70 cya is between 5 & 10. I would just let nature take it's course

Gracias! I'd just like to know how far over 10 I am so I can hopefully( if the weather cooperates) swim on July 4th.

Leave the cover off, and it should drop by the 4th with no problem.
