Thanks to help from Poolmom and several others I now have sparkling blue water again. Repeated bleach shock treatment along with getting my ph up to 7.2+ and using 20 Mule Team Borax (~1.5 box) did the trick.

I have been letting the pump run 24/7. Is it ok now to go back to 12 hours on and 12 off?

Yes. If your pool is clear and no longer consuming large amounts of chlorine, you can drop your pump run time back down. Glad to hear the pool is better.
