The reason is we need to know how high your chlorine should be according to how much cya you have in the pool. This way we can tell if it is sun eating up the chlorine or algae. One good way is to see if you use any chlorine overnight. If you do, then the chlorine is fighting something. 18,000 gallon fiberglass Taylor K2006 test kit

Last night I shocked up to about 14 using the bleach calculator. This morning FC was 8.6, added 3 jugs. At 11:30 a neighbor added 1.5 jugs. At 3:30 FC was 8.4 so I added 2 more jugs. Any suggestions? I really want to use the pool this weekend. Thanks.
