Where to buy chemicals?

What stores have the best prices for pool chemicals? I also need salt for my chlorine generator.

Walmart for most of it. Lowes for the salt if your Walmart doesn't carry salt, and for muriatic acid.

FWIW, my local pool store was surprisingly cheap on pool salt--$8 for a 40lb bag.

I was in Home Depot today and saw 40# of pool salt for $4.99. Have never bought that brand. I've been buying solar salt from Lowe's @ about $4.50/40#. Picked up two 3# containers of CYA at Walmart yesterday for $3 each. Lowe's and HD both sell Muriatic acid 2gal for $9.99.

If you have access to a farm and ranch type store, try looking for muriatic acid in their plumbing section. Locally, it was just $2.99 not that long ago but is now up to $3.49/gallon, still the cheapest price I could find.
