    Default 2 Speed Pump Problems??

    I stopped by my local PS the other day to price a Hayward Matrix 1HP 2spd Pump. (SP15922S) They said they don't recommend that pump because of many reported problems. Anyone having problems with Hayward 2spd pumps of any kind?????

    I don't know the "matrix". I have the 1hp 2spd Hayward Superpump and after 5 solid years all that's happened is the gold casing bleached to silver. It's been totally fine. Watch they don't try to sell you a 1.5 or 2hp "turbo-charged" pump instead....
