    Question Doughboy eyeball adjustment

I have a brand new Doughboy pool and the eyeball doesn't seem to adjust too easily. The water up here is too cold to be in so I'm adjusting it from above. I have to unscrew the cover quite a bit to move the eyeball then try to hold the eyeball in place with one hand while I tighten the cover.

Is there a trick to getting the eyeball to move a little more freely?

    Thanks

    Peter

Not that I know. And believe me, I know what you're talking about as I do the same belly-on-concrete move. I hold the ball where I want it and screw. It takes me a couple of tries before I get it right. If there is a better way, I'd like to know about it.

I adjust mine with the pump off it's a lot easier.

I emailed Doughboy and they say it has to be adjusted with the two-hand method (loosen the cover, hold the eyeball where you want with one hand and tighten the cover with the other).

I have the pump off when I adjust - I doubt anyone would have much success trying this with the pump on (and you'll likely lose the eyeball into the pool trying!)
