I have the ring off. Read where "comes off with no tools" but can't figure what else to do. Have looked all over: no additional screws etc?!

I believe I have seared a key on the shaft of the pump and want to inspect it before I order a new replacement pum. Son's birthday pool party Saun and need to get this pump back up and running. TY!MB
