The unit came on and had the the bad temp sensor indicator again, please see previous post. This time nothing seemed to work, this includes all recommendations in the manual to troubleshoot, connect and disconnect, etc. Just called your tech support but they are closed at 5:30pm eastern, after 11:30 am Hawaii time. I left a message.

Tried to using channel locks as recommended in the manual to pull out the unit but the white PVC ring will not budge, I first took out the two tiny screws. This is my first time doing this, the salt cell itself looks like new but flushed it anyway.

The white PVC ring looks as if it was put in off center, during manufacture, as it tilts up from the vertical, and I am guessiing this is the cause, as it will not budge.

As the temp sensor does not work it causes the ORP to read too high so of course it does not generate chlorine. What should I turn off so that I can at least produce chlorine?

    Aloha.
    SmallPoolDad,
The Bad Temp Sensor should not affect the ORP measurement.
The Tri-sensor is held in place by the two screws and a compression fit. Channel locks should help get it out by twisting it side to side while lowering it down.
With the Bad Temp Sensor display, it just defaults the temp to 75 degrees, but continues to operate. It just defeats the Automatic Temperature Compensation.

    Sean,

Your right the Bad Temp sensor does not affect the ORP measurement, but by defaulting to 75 F I am advised that the chlorine production drops a little. I am not sure if that is correct or did I misunderstand? That is why they thought it better to go manual, not sure if this is correct? Come to think of it the temperature difference to 84 F is not that great so maybe it makes little or no difference.

The PVC housing unit is jammed; two of my daughters male friends, weight lifters, were unable to pry it off, by hand or with channel locks. We released the suction/vacuum on the unit by opening the screw down rings but no amount of force would budge it.

Anyhow your great company is replacing everything free of charge with absolutely no hassle. Now that's what service should always be about. You people are great I would recommend your company to my friends and anyone else that asks.

    Thank you for your response.
