cartridge filter with swg

We need to replace the cartridge filters in our old Purex Triton Seahorse 400 square foot system. When removing the old filters, we noticed that it said to use with fresh water only. Can cartridge filters be used with Pool Pilot Digital swg in an in ground pool? Have we been doing something wrong? Thank you. cofa

You're fine. When they describe salt water pools, its different from a salt chlorine generator pool. Salt water pools are in excess of 6000 ppm. Mineral bath pools are usually in the 9,000 ppm, and sea water pools are around 30,000 ppm or greater.
