No idea about the Aquador but to prevent freeze damage to my skimmer housing I pack it with pieces of eccofoam. The same stuff pool noodles are made of. A closed cell foam that won't absorb water. The stuff is also used for packing material. You don't have to pack the skimmer completely. I plug with a gizmo to keep water out of the return pipe, fill the return pipe with RV antifreeze, then pack the skimmer. Mine always fills with water.
