    Default Brown Slimy Foam

Opened my pool two weeks ago and the water was DARK GREEN. Have got the green to go away, and the water is still cloudy and I can start to see the bottom of the pool. This weekend I started getting foam on the surface, and it now covers about 80% of the surface. The foam is brown in color and looks slimy. The skimmer is full of dense foam.

    Here's what I got.
    In-ground, vinyl liner, 22K gallons
    Salt water chlorine generator

    Temp ~60
    CYA 30
    Chlorine 7
    pH 7.7
    Alkalinity 99
    Salt 3000

Keep shocking. Keep the chlorine at 15-20 ppm until the pool clears and then get your CYA up to about 80 ppm and then turn on the SWG!

BTW, where is your calcium hardness? The vinyl liner might not care that much if your CH is low or high but your SWG does!
