    Default Calcium Absorption

5 days ago I needed to raise my calcium level up with 35 lbs. Does anyone know how long it takes to completely dissolve or absorb? My water is getting clearer, while I run my filter around the clock, but I keep finding a white layer everywhere. It is as if it when I brush it and it gets recirculated it just ends up in the exact same situation that I find it everyday. One thought that I have is that maybe I should have added half the calcium at a time, allowing for absorption in between. The other idea I have is that I have not been adding DE to my filter because my water was not balanced (until today) and I am backwashing a few times a day to lower my filter pressure. Could it be the lack of DE at this point?

    Thanks for any advice,

How about you post your calcium hardness level? That could answer the question really quickly.
