The one time I had to replace it, I used a lot of gasket lube, not glue. That was two or three seasons ago. So I'm on my second spider in 7 seasons.

Did you lube the bottom of the channel the gasket sits in? Did you lube the hard upper surface that seals against the gasket? I've never lubed any that I've worked on at all. Thanks
