Replace hose or new Polaris 280?
I have an eight year old Polaris 280, all original parts (except bag).
My hose seems to be getting stiff, and the backup valve needs reworking.
Is it time to replace the hose and backup valve?
And, if I'm going to spend ~$240 on a hose and backup valve, should I replace the whole thing for another $300?

I would replace the whole thing if there's not more than $50 or so difference--that way you get new warranties and everything. Besides, the last time I replaced my Polaris 380, they let me send in the old one and gave me a $50 rebate.
