Just reinstalled brick around my pool.what you are looking for is polymeric sand.It's a little more work than sweeping in sand but does a great job.I have the polymeric sand in my patio no ants and very few weeds.That's why I reset the bricks in my pool deck.Just be careful to sweep or very lightly blow off the dust on top of the brick before misting down the brick.

Do not put the polymeric sand in the joint between the deck and the pool coping. Even with pavers you need some expansion. It is best to install elastomeric caulk and sand the top. Pick a caulk color that will best match your polymeric sand color. Do not use play sand to sand the elastomeric (Ive seen some joints come out looking pink with the play sand)
