Default Solar Covers and Automatic Cleaners

I was wondering if automatic cleaners, either the Polaris type or the Aquabot type, can be used while a solar cover is in place?

I run my Dolphin Diagnostic with the solar cover on. As long as the cord is free to move with it, I've experienced no problems.

Yes it will work just fine, BUT be very careful of the cords that you use to attache the cover to a reel. I had one dangling in the water once and the polaris grabbed it with a wheel and it burned up the belts in the polaris. Learned my lesson, hope to save you from learning it.

I have an Aquabot and a solar cover. I'd worry that when the Aquabot climbs the side of the wall it would catch the cover in the roller and then you would have a mess. It's bad enough when the cord gets caught up in it. I just take my cover off during the day and run the Aquabot and cover it back up at night.
