1 - I bought Clorox Pool&Spa pH Up to bring up the pH since I had read about Borax and I wasn't happy about the cancer findings that it was associated with. Will the Clorox Pool&Spa pH Up work as well? (haven't used it yet).

2 - I have a new cartridge for the pool and I will put it in but just to know - what are the affects of replacing the cartridge?

3 - I have a "Poolmaster 22260 5-Way Swimming Pool and Spa Water Chemistry Test Kit" from Amazon. Will that work just as well?

4 - how do I figure out my CYA?
