It sounds like you might want to have a pool service guy check your pool out. We can help a lot with chemicals here, but it's pretty hard to do the 'eyes on' stuff over the Internet.
No questions....yet. Mainly just searching for info on maintaining and repairing a pool. We just bought a house in Texas with a 15K gallon pool, Hayward PG48 (or something like that) DE filter, and a Polaris 280. I think we have a leak either in the non-functioning pool light or in the main drain which has no suction.
