Default Thought i could speed things up but noooo gooo

Thought I could speed thing up with a small test kit BUT I soon learned I had to go back to my 2006 to be certain of anything. So I went down to buy some new reagents and yes ...only had 2006 for a month but just testing my brains out. I have a fiberglass pool so calcium hardness isn't such a big deal but what heck might as well. Only takes 10 minutes and I'm going to test daily for awhile until I am sure

    1. Do NOT test Calcium or Cyanuric acid daily -- there is no need to do so. With cyanuric acid, there is only enough reagent for 6 - 7 tests in the box, but CYA only changes as you replace water (lowers) or as you add cyanuric acid or use dichlor or trichlor.

    2. You *can* use an OTO/phenol red kit for quick testing. I do, and so do many other experienced users.

    3. Only test alkalinity frequently, if you have some reason to think it may be changing.

We want you to have, and to use, the K2006 . . . but not more than you need to do.
