Default Issues with Jandy Lite 2 heater shutting off

    Hello,

I'm having some big problems with a Jandy Lite 2 heater that seems to enjoy working for 10-15 minutes, and then shutting off and not letting me do anything with the buttons. It looks like the thing has frozen up (programming, not because it's too cold), and then a few hours later, it will work again. Of course, this isn't useful at all for heating the pool, and is causing me no end of frustration with the thing.

Has anyone had this kind of problem, or know what might be causing it?

    Thanks

Unfortunately, electronically controlled equipment is not 'intuitive' and knowledge about one heater is not very helpful in troubleshooting a different one. I've never worked on a Jandy so I can't help you.

    The manual is here:
    http://www.zodiacpoolsystems.com/Pro...ers/Lite2.aspx

I'd recommend working through their trouble shooting guide, and then calling Jandy AFTERWARDS. That will help you move up to a Level 2 tech -- the Level 1 guy will likely just work you through that manual, but over the phone.

You might also post your question at poolspaforum.com . That site has a lot of pool guys -- just ignore their chemical advice, since you're likely to get pool-stored, electronically. (Waterbear from here also is active there; his chem advice will be OK).
