    Default Stainless steel panel

I am interested in a semi-inground pool. Am looking at 2 - Both steel with resin parts. One has a SS service panel and the other does not but has a 5 year full warranty (60 year). The SS one is only 3 year full (60 year total).

I am thinking the SS one is better (other things about pool are comparable). I would want the 5 year full warranty though. I am thinking it only has 3 years because it can be used for salt water system which I will not be doing.

Here is the one with the 5 year:

    Shape: Round
    54" Wall Height
    Massive Curved Resin Top Ledges
Huge 8" Kystal Kote Steel Uprights
Interlocking Resin Caps and Resin Foot Plates
Sleek Oval Space Saving Support System
    Wall Color/Design: Champagne/Panorama
    60-Year Limited Manufacturer's Warranty
    Made in the USA
    Liner and Thru-Wall Skimmer Included
Installs Above Ground Or Semi-Inground (Installation Not Included)

and the 3 year with the SS service panel:

    Shape: Round
    54" Wall Height
8" Injection-molded, true curved Synflex Resin Top Ledges
Resin tracks, rails, connectors and over-sized fasteners
Stainless steel wall saver skimmer panel
Sleek Oval Space Saving Support System
    Wall Color/Design: Pearl/Stella
    60-Year Limited Manufacturer's Warranty
    Made in the USA
    Liner and Thru-Wall Skimmer Included
    Installs Above Ground Or Semi-Inground

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

Some of the terms in your description are manufacturer marketing BS words, that have no particular meaning: "Krystal Kote", "Synflex", etc. Telling you that the liner and skimmer is included, is sort of like selling a car with "tires included"! Here's a re-write, in plain English:
    Shape: Round
    54" wall height
    Plastic top ledge
    8" steel uprights.
Interlocking plastic caps and foot plates
    Wall Color/Design: Champagne/Panorama
60-Year Highly limited Warranty (real warranty probably expires after 1 year)
(At least partly) Made in the USA
Installs Above Ground Or Semi-Inground (Installation Not Included)

    Shape: Round
    54" wall height
    8" plastic top ledge
Plastic tracks, rails, & connectors. Over-sized fasteners
    Stainless steel skimmer panel
    Wall Color/Design: Pearl/Stella
60-Year Highly limited Warranty (real warranty probably expires after 1 year)
(At least partly) Made in the USA
Installs Above Ground Or Semi-Inground (Installation Not Included)
If you want any recommendations, you'll need to include actual manufacturer make and model -- and see if anyone with experience with THAT pool will post. The use of bogus marketing terms doesn't necessarily mean the pool is a bad one -- all AG pool makers have to do it (even the good ones) since if they don't fluff their descriptions, their pools sound wimpy by comparison.

The 60-year warranty throws up a caution flag, however. No company that's been in business for less than 100 years can offer a 60-year warranty that is anything other than misleading marketing. My personal experience -- 25+ years in the pool biz -- is that warranties over 10 - 15 years are most often offered by companies what have been in business less than 10 years . . . and that won't be in business in 10 more years.

    Good luck!
