    Default clorine and algacide

Can I add algacide when I add the clorine to my inground pool? I don't want to cause any problems with the chemistry. Or should I wait until the next day. I would like to keep on top of the algae before it develops. Also would you recommend the algacide weekly? I'm new at this!

I don't think it matters if you add it with the chlorine or the next day. But, you don't really need to add any algaecide at all. If you maintain proper water chemistry, you don't need it. I never use it except for when I close the pool in the fall. Just testing your water regularly and making sure you maintain adequate chlorine levels will keep algae from developing. Hope this helps. BTW - welcome to the forum.
(I am going to move your post to the testing and adjusting water chemistry forum instead of here. This forum is actually for questions about using the forum itself.)
