Pump Just Gave Out

I had a hard time getting my pump going this spring and only got it going after whacking it with a wrench. It was very loud over the summer so I was going to purchase a new one over the winter. Murphys Law--it gave out 2 days ago and is completely dead.

My pool: 28' round 48" AGP 18,000 gal
My Pump: Jacuzzi - Cartridge Filter 1.5 SPL, 12.4 Amps, 3450 RPM--not sure if I'm leaving anything out

Being that I probably cannot close my pool without a pump, does anyone have suggestions (type/supplier/brand?) for purchasing a similar pump quickly.

Someone else will come along with more specifics, but I'll just say that you don't need a 1.5hp. A 1hp would be plenty for your pool.
