Default ABG Pad Help - 18' ProSeries Metal Frame

We've purchased an 18' x 48" ProSeries metal frame pool (similar to Intex) and have leveled the site at which the pool will reside. This was done so with a tractor/bucket which left shallow grooves from the teeth on the bucket. I'm looking for any and all suggestions on what our next step should be to prep the ground for the pool installation. Prefereably cheap! We aren't looking for long term (as in yrs) because we plan to sell and move within in the next year...therefore, we're hoping to not have to spend too much money (none at all would be nice but a dream none the less, I'm sure). Pavers (to place below feet) are on our list of things we need. Thanks!

Normally, sand alone isn't a good idea -- it can wash out too easily. But it would probably work OK for a year, just to fill in between excavator tooth grooves.
