Default CC increased dramatically after adding more chlorine

    Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can give me some guidance on a problem. After the 4th weekend with 6-7 people in the pool each day, I noticed my CC level was about 0.5. My CYA is 35-40 and I keep my FC between 3-6.
When I noticed the CC level, I added chlorine to bring it up to about 10ppm in the evening. The next evening, my FC was about 7 and CC had risen to 1. Next morning, my FC was 0.5 and CC was 5!
It seems that all the chlorine I added got converted to CC. Should I add even more?

    Thanks,
    -Carter

It would be normal to maybe have a little CC (0.5ppm) after several swimmers. But, the addition of bleach wouldn't create CCs. Maybe tester error? Try the test again.
