Question Hayward Ec40ac blowing dirty into pool

We just bought a house in the fall that came with a pool. Everything was winterized, pump and filter drained and brought inside. Everything this season seemed to be OK. We had to add lots of washing soda, and baking soda to get our numbers in line. Now when the pump first kicks in, or when you regenerate this de filter, it blows out dirty looking water for a few moments. The liner is starting to become stained also?
Pool store tested water, copper is .2

    Thanks
    Dave

Hi Dave and welcome to the forum!

Please give us a compete set of water testing results taken with a drops-based kit. Also, tell us what kind of pool you have, the volume and size of pump. Also, what all have you put in this pool besides washing soda and baking soda? Please list ingredients and not just "shock."

What is the copper from? What is the source of your fill water?

You'll need a good test kit if you don't already have one. The one we recommend is the Taylor K-2006 or 2006C (same kit, larger bottle of some reagents). If you buy it through the Amazon link in my signature, the Pool Forum makes a little money on the sale which helps us keep this form online. Only buy if the seller is Amato Industries, however. Some other sellers are substituting the K-2005 which you do NOT want.

Repost with requested info and somebody here can try and help.
