0.001% ice is dumb: ever heard fried ice cream? I don't think you ever did. Otherwise, you won't make this kind of stupid analogy.

Suit yourself. I thought I was doing you a favor; I won't bother again.
If anyone feels like arguing with you, they are welcome to do so, so long as it stays here, and doesn't degenerate further into ad hominem attacks or crudity.
By the way, it's not necessary to requote posts immediately above your own -- most people will see them there without further notice.

Retired pool store and commercial pool maintenance guy.
Salty,
"We" means the administrator/owner of the site, the 4 Moderators, our senior lifetime members who have been adding value here for years, and anyone else who has hung around and benefited.
If you TRULY do not understand the chemistry of salt-water generation, then our resident experts on it, like Waterbear can answer your questions. If you don't understand the answer because it's not clear or you cannot follow it, it's OK to ask follow-up questions.
But take it as a given that none of us holds our positions on pool care out of anything other than logic and experience. It's not "group-think". We challenge each others premises all the time. Consensus comes out of that.
Also, remember we are here to help people. Ben takes in just enough money from referrals to maintain and offset the costs of the forum. The rest of us do it solely for the love of helping people, and the hope that "today" (whatever day "today" is) I may learn something new I never knew. It's not a for-profit enterprise.
But we don't tolerate argumentative or insulting posts. There are lots of political forums from the Far Right to the Far Left and everything in between for that.
