    Default Automatic chlorinator or floater?

Just bought a house with a pool. My wife doesn't like the floating chlorine dispensers, says they're an attraction for small children and might encourage them to enter the pool. Is it possible for me to add an automatic chlorinator by my pump? Is this easy enough for a reasonably-competent handyman? Anything I should consider first? Thanks for any input?

A Rainbow 320 inline chlorinator is functional, and not hard to install for someone who is handy.

Here's the link to the manual on the PentairPool (manufacturer) site:

Using trichlor tabs, you will need to watch out for stabilizer levels - read the "Best Guess" chart page, linked in my signature.
