Need help with choosing the best equipment for my owner-built pool

I really want to search for existing posts on which pumps, filters, salt water chlorine generators, aerators, auto water-levelers, etc. are the best.

I'm just starting into the build and want to start ordering/buying equipment.

However, there's not that much comparative information like that here. It sounds like you have in mind something like Consumers Reports for pool gear . . . and if that exists, I don't know where.
