Default Help..tear in vinyl liner at rope attachment ring....panic!!

...we are hoping to replace our vinyl liner next summer...today I notice a tear by the attachment where the rope attaches in shallow end. We dont use a rope to mark the shallow end so the attachment is redundent. Do you think it can be removed (does it unscrew?) then I can patch the tear. Would it need to be replaced? It is close to water line, so I have dropped the level of water for now till I can repair. Does any of this make sense?
    thanks

It is probably best if you show us a picture. Either use picasa of flicker or some such thing or email pics to [email protected] and reference the URL of this thread.

If it isn't too big of a tear I'd probably just patch it with Gorilla tape for the rest of the season. It'll be ugly but since you're planning to replace the liner anyway it would do for now.
