Default bottom drain for 33 round above ground pool

Has any one done this? Seems like a good idea. The installer we will be using does it all of the time. The 3 pools I looked at that he has done had them and the owner loved them!

I'm going to ask our Waste aka Ted who is a member of the Pool Forum Support Team and is also a pool installer to see if he has an opinion about this.

By the way, thanks for the subscription!

    Hi, Kim!

A low suction port is a good idea in any pool. For an A/G pool, you'd want it secured in concrete, with the crete being a couple inches below the liner. (actually all MDs should be set in crete to keep them from moving around and ripping the liner)

If your pool dude has successfully installed main drains in his previous pools, he probably knows what he's doing.

Having done construction and service for 4 pool companies in 4 states starting in 1988, what I know about pools could fill a couple of books - what I don't know could fill libraries
