I'm putting up a 15x30 AGP and was wondering does it matter 1.5 or 1" foam underneath?
It makes a difference on price 480 vs 320.
I think the compressive strength properties remain the same.

I doubt it really matters but I'll ask our resident pool installer -- Waste aka Ted --- to offer an opinion for you./

Hi, sorry but I can't provide any useful info on this topic - I've never used bottom foam on an AG pool.
