Well it hasn't been quite a month yet but I'm getting algae growth again. It's been raining for 40 days and 40 nights it feels like. Right now my FC is 3.0 and CC is 0. I just opened the housing to see the filter since I last posted and the image below is what I found.
The psi is still at 4.
Also, I'm not sure on how often I'm supposed to add chlorine or the proper level. I've been adding a bag of that shock plus every 5 days or so until it's all gone and then I'll purchase something else.
I'll pick up 6 gallons of bleach again and put it in tonight unless I hear otherwise.

If you are getting algae, then it is because you are letting your chlorine get too low. How often are you testing the water? Run a set of tests with your K-2006 and post them along with your volume. What are the ingredients in the shock plus?

Added 6 gallons of bleach Friday
Right now:
3.9 FC
0.2 CC
CYA 54
4 drops R-005 for ph 7.7
Volume 14,000
So with these results it looks like my chlorine level is ok but I need to lower my ph by adding 2qts of Muriatic Acid?
