Pentair 320 trichlor feeder has stopped working

My chlorine tab feeder was easily eroding 4 pucks per week. Now it doesn't seem to erode one. It fills properly with the top off and drains within 10 secs. The little filter platform that the pucks sit on has been cracked for a long time. Could that be the problem? Perhaps the puck being in direct contact with the bottom has gummed up the hole?
