We'll need to know more about the pool. Is the water new? Plaster or vinyl surface? In ground or above? What kind of filter? How does the water look now?

Also, a good test kit is essential to effective, efficient poolcare. We recommend the Taylor K-2006 or K-2006C (bigger bottles, better value). If you order one through the links on this page:http://pool9.net/test the forum gets some coin to keep the lights on. You'll have to copy the URL then log out and paste it into your browser to use it until your account is reviewed.

Read all you can in these forums, especially the stickies and at poolsolutions.com to learn about Safe, efficient and effective pool care. We're always here to help.

    . . . membership upgraded.

    (1) standard 121oz jug of 8% Walmart bleach will add about 3 ppm of chlorine to your pool
