Pool chemicals and running the pump

Hello all,
I have a general question about putting chemicals in the pool and then running the pump. Does running the pump have any effect on the chemicals I put in? In other words, if I put dichlor and borax into the pool and then run the pump, will it filter out the chemicals or help distribute them better?

You ONLY want to add chemicals when the pump is running. Your chemicals will not filter out.
