    Default Dirty water

We set up our new saltwater pump pool and when it was filled the water was clear then turned dirty looking without anyone ever being in it. We followed all the charts for its size but still looks the same and we do not have well water, what are we doing wrong help please.

    1. What kind of pool do you have?

    2. What color is your water? Is it cloudy, too?

    3. What are your pH and chlorine readings? (Go get a cheapo OTO / phenol red drops kit, if you don't have one.)

    Meanwhile:

    1. Run your pump 24/7. If you have an Intex or Summer Escapes pool, order the appropriate Unicel cartridges (see http://pool9.net/ssr/

    2. Maintain adequate chlorine levels -- use bleach or dichlor as needed. You do NOT want a pool that is dirty + algae filled.

Better add bleach, till the green goes away. You are about to end up with a swamp, and it takes weeks to clear a swamp in a soft-side pool, unless you have add-on filtration.
