Default Advice when things go wrong

Looking for advice for what to do when things go wrong. I guess I'll post more info later but not even sure this is something that we can post here? Not looking to just complain, really looking for like "what do we do now"?

Basically had a pool that leaked from the day it was installed and although the installer replaced the liner for us (a year later) we're out a lot of money in diver's fees, chemicals, water (trucked in) and we're still very frustrated with the situation. What do companies typically do when they have a problem immediately after installing a pool?

You're question is too general to have a useful answer: there's no particular pattern to how "pool companies" respond to problems.
