    Kind of like a self-contained fountain? I suppose that could work, but you'll need to run it when the pump is running to make sure it's getting sufficient chlorine. Plus it WILL continually raise your pH and you'll have to compensate.

    It could work, and you could likely find some materials to help you here - most of the items are related to fire features and concrete fire bowls, but you can also find some accessories like fire rocks, which could also work for a fountain. Prices here are reasonable, and there's an extensive array of options that could help you with your DIY project, including installation instructions for various devices and links to recommended contractors who might be able to at least give you advice.
    Take a look and see if any of these products can help make your DIY waterfall easier to create.
