    heavily chlorinated water will screw up a lot of rubber / rubbber like compounds used in toilets etc.

    We used to have a place in the Florida Keys and water was very heavily chlorinated for the long run in the pipeline from upstate.

    I never knew toilets could be such a pain.

    Every November when we first went down it was once through every bathroom to make a shopping list. Touch the rubber stuff in the tank and clouds of black debris would fill the tank.

    And I think the levels you would get with a puck in your tank would be magnitudes more concentrated.
