Default Starting up a neglected vinyl pool

    Posting here first.
Pool owner, have not swam in a little over a year due to not being able to take care of pool. However ready to start back at pool ownership as well as pool maintaining. But a few questions if I may.
I am a vinyl pool owner 27k in pool volume and its been neglected.
Can I drain pool and start over getting leaves and such out after a drain and then refilling hoping for the best. Or should I try and tackle getting leaves out and working the process???

    Upgraded membership and moved thread.

Draining a vinyl pool with out destroying the liner is beyond the capability of most pool owners; best hire it done.

Or scoop all the leaves out yourself, then begin.

You'll need a K2006 kit to test BOTH your pool AND your fill water. My 'signature' contains many of the links you'll need.
